Chickens in Ballysax!

We have a hatching programme in school. The Nore Valley Farm brought us an incubator with seven eggs. Just three of them hatched and we were so delighted to welcome these little chickens.

Basketball Finals

The boys' and girls' Basketball Teams with members from 4th, 5th and 6th classes have been training after school since September. They have played some very challenging matches at venues both home and away and were thrilled when both teams reached the finals of the Cumann na mBunscol League of Co Kildare! The finals were held in Newbridge on February 15th. We had two exciting and skillful games. The boys worked really hard and were pleased to come home with silver medals. The girls went on to win their match and bring home the cup and gold medals. Well done to all. The teams are pictured below with teachers Esther Reddy and Elaine Downey. Mr Ronan Elliffe was another teacher who worked with the team. Parents, Mrs Susan Byrne and Mr Ger Crowley also helped out. Thanks to all for their investment of time and encouragement of the teams.

The Book Character parade brought all sorts of people to life! Here you can see "Ms Cruella de Vil" and some of her class.

We had farmers, bakers and even the BFG!
